Debian Blak @ Loop Bar

The Public Works Department, Corridor Clothing and Abuze London are proud to present Debian Blak for the first show of his debut Australian tour.

Debian Blak is an exciting young talent from the fertile beat scene of Leeds, in the UK, also home to Ramadanman/Pearson Sound, Blawan, Midland and more. Having released his first EP mid 2011, Debian Blak has been described as “Venturing down the same conceptual avenues as artists like Cooly G and Untold” as well as drawing comparisons to Mount Kimbie. He has worked with artists such as kidkanevil and Airhead on remix duties, and debuted his live show supporting Daedalus at the HiFi Club in Leeds.

Debian Blak will be bringing his show, complete with live drummer, to Kindred Studios, for an afternoon of beats, beers, BBQ and vibes. Lining up in support is local wunderkind Wooshie, who as part of the //This Thing// collective has been putting Melbourne on the map as the place for fun, creative and experimental hip hop and party jams. Wooshie will be joined by Outerwaves (QLD), who is fresh from playing the No Years New Years Eve party alongside Jonti (Stones Throw) and Nina Las Vegas (JJJ). There will be some live painting done during the show which will be given away to one lucky punter, as well some fresh threads to be given away courtesy of Corridor Clothing and Abuze London. Lastly, a little BBQ for those who get a bit hungry through the day, with meateaters and vegetarians alike catered for.

All this for just $15 on the door. Pretty good deal huh?
